It is necessary for the longevity of the Marquis Finish,
and as a condition of this warranty, that the following
chemical guidelines and sanitizer levels* must be followed
and maintained:
pH 7.4 to 7.6 or
pH 7.2 to 7.4
Total Alkalinity (TA)
80 to 100 ppm or Total Alkalinity
(TA) 100 to 120 ppm
Calcium Hardness (CH)
200 - 400 ppm and Cyanuric Acid
40 to 60 ppm
Jack's Magic Sequestrant*
10 to 12 ppm or as per manufacturers specifications
The initial fill water is the most important water
that the pool will receive. The initial fill water must
be tested, recorded and adjusted to the above chemical
guidelines before it has an opportunity to adversely
affect the new Marquis finish. Check the pool water
and balance to pool water parameters a minimum of once
a week after your pool finish is at least 30 days old.
Special Note: More frequent water adjustments will be
necessary during the first 30 days to maintain the proper
balance. Exceptions to the above parameters during the
first 30 days only are: the pH and alkalinity must be
adjusted constantly to a level of 7.2 and 8.0 ppm or
below respectively. Adding pool acid to the pool several
times per week may be necessary. It is also required
that the pool finish be brushed twice a day for the
first two weeks and then once a day for the next two
weeks to help prevent scaling and algae growth. To prevent
stains and uphold your warrant add and maintain the
appropriate "Jack's Magic" product. Pool fill
water containing high levels of metals must be pre-treated
and filtered before being added to the pool. Always
dilute any acid products before adding to the deep end
of the pool.

results of pool water chemistry analysis.
